New Ted Baker Toiletries

Hey everyone,

So my birthday was last week and I got some really lovely gifts, one of my favourite presents was this gift set from Ted Baker. Not only is it a beautiful toiletries bag but it contains some new Ted Baker products which I'm crazy about!

The first one is a body spray which has a floral scent with notes of jasmine and neroli along with patchouli, sandalwood and musk. It smells very feminine and is perfect for daily use. Unlike other body sprays or perfumes it is not a heavy scent but a refreshing, pretty scent.

This new scent also comes in a body souffle and shower gel, so you can layer it up to last all day. The packing of these new products is also very pretty. With rose gold touches making it look stylish and modern.

I simply cannot get enough of these new products! I think they are a summer staple and look lovely lined up in my bathroom, however I don't think it'll be long until they've all been used up!

Have you tried these new products? What do you think of them?

Let me know,

Barry M Sunset Curling Nail Paint

I'm really loving Barry M's new Daylight curling nail paint! It's just like a gel polish and lasts on my nails for up to a week. There are loads of summery colours to chose from but I decided to go for this light nude colour which will be perfect with a tan!

I did 3 coats of the colour called 'Like a nude' and then followed with the clear topcoat which left my nails looking flawless!

I highly recommend these nail paints and the brush makes it really easy to apply, I'm also really loving the rose gold coloured handles!

Have you tried these new polishes? Let me know what you think,

Essie Ballet Slippers

Hey Everyone,

So I've finally got around to trying Essie's Ballet Slippers! I love the shade Fiji and just wanted to try something which was slightly more opaque and pinker.

I do really like Ballet Slippers however I did have to do four coats before it looked even! It was worth it though as Ballet Slippers is a lovely natural pink shade!

I love Essie polish's as they seem to last for ages on the nail without chipping or fading! I will definitely be adding more to my collection!

I purchased this Essie polish from Boots and it cost £7.99.

What shades do you recommend that I try?

Garnier Moisture Match Face Moisturisers

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to share with you the moisturisers which I am currently using. Now I have to admit that when it comes to moisturisers I hardly ever re-purchase the same one! I can never find one which I completely love, price wise and quality wise!

I have oily/combination skin but occasionally have a few dry patches (due to this horrible cold weather in the UK!) so when I ran out of my No 7 Beautiful Skin Moisturiser I decided that I wanted to try something different and possibly two different ones to combat oily skin and dry areas on the face.

I decided to try the new range brought out by Garnier called 'Moisture Match' as they had 5 different moisturisers to suit different skin types. I had also seen these advertised on the TV and in magazines and thought that they sounded perfect for me! The packaging also did it for me! Ha ha.

In Boots I noticed that the Garnier moisturisers were on 3 for 2 so I bought one for Combination to Oily skin (green), one for Dry to Very Dry skin (pink) and one for Normal skin which was an Illuminating light lotion (yellow) which I thought would be perfect for the summer months when I may not want to wear foundation.

And I can tell you that I LOVE these moisturisers! They are excellent quality and they all smell gorgeous! Its a kind of fruity smell but very subtle.

I use the moisturiser for oily skin during the day to combat shine and at night I use the one for dry skin to re hydrate my skin. The moisturisers sink in to the skin quickly and are a great base for makeup.

As you may be able to make out from the picture above, the illuminating one is slightly runnier that the others and the pink one for dry skin is much thicker. The green one for oily skin is much lighter and mattifies the skin after application.

The Illuminating moisturiser is also a great buy, I haven't used it as much as the other two as I'm saving it for summer (if it ever comes!) plus it is the only one containing SPF 20.

I will definitely be repurchasing these moisturisers! The other two available in this range are for Normal to Dry skin (blue) and a 'Wake me up' hydrating gel (orange). I may try these in the future seeing as though they only cost £3.99 at Boots.

Have you tried these moisturisers? Are you tempted? What moisturiser is your favorite?

Let me know please :)

Zara Office City Bag

Hey Everyone,

So I was catching up on some other blogs over the weekend and a certain handbag featured on several different posts. Which bag I hear you say? The Zara Office City Bag of course!

If you haven't heard of it, where have you been?! This bag has been hugely popular for Zara and amongest bloggers and it's not hard to see why. Being black it goes with every outfit and is perfect for work or dressing up an outfit! Its also a great medium sized square bag with several different pockets to store everything you need to carry ( if your me, that's a lot!)

The lining is a lovely plum colour and the zips are gold which I love! The only thing about this bag is that it does have a lot of pockets so sometimes when your in a rush it is hard to find stuff that you've just thrown in very quickly!

This bag is also ideal for those who carry their laptop/ipad around as it can fit both in very easily.

This bag is one of my favourites and you can always count on Zara for great quality, long lasting handbags. It cost £49.99 which is very reasonable.

What do you think of this bag? Does it appeal to you too? or do you already have it?

Essie Fiji

Just wanted to share my new nail polish purchase!

This is my first Essie nail polish I've always wanted to try it but none of the shops in the town I live stocked it until now! I found this beauty in Boots for £7.99. A little more than what I would usually pay for a nail polish but I've heard so many good things about Essie and this particular shade of polish (Fiji) so when I saw there in Boots and there were only two left on the shelf I just had to have one it was almost calling my name!

It's the perfect shade of pale pink almost a milky pink! One coat left it looking a bit streaky a second improved it but a third made it look flawless. So it was a little time consuming applying it but it was worth it!

I can see this shade being one of my most used ever! It goes with every outfit and looks even better with a tan. The name and shade 'Fiji' has me dreaming of warm sandy beaches! If only...... until then I'll have to make do with my own little peace of heaven in a bottle!

Have you tried this shade? I'm also tempted by Essie 'Ballet Slippers' it looks almost the same but a little pinker, has anyone tried that one? Let me know please :)

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend,

Black multi glitter nails

Hey Everyone,

This is one of my fave nail polish combos at the moment, Black nails with glitter on top!

Here I used a black nail polish by Bourjois with a multi colour glitter from wet n wild which I got in America. Its not available here in the UK but Barry M do similar glitter nail polishes.

What do you think of these nails?

Pink Bubbly Vaseline

Hi everyone,

I'm a huge fan of Vaseline I love the rosy lips one the best, but I was really excited when I saw that they'd added a 'Pink Bubbly' limited edition Vaseline to the collection.

I love the tin it looks like a luxury lip balm which of course it is! It comes out clear so is perfect for the daytime and luxurious enough for the evening (it really does contain wine extract!).

The only negative is that i'm not keen on the taste of the product, it is growing on me! I think this is because i'm used to the 'Rosy lips' with rose and almond oil.

The Pink Bubbly Vaseline is definitely worth trying though as it is limited edition and looks very posh in your make up bag!

It is priced slightly higher than the original Vaselines but it does last for ages!

It's perfect for the winter months, keeping though horrible dry, chapped lips at bay!

Try it for yourself and see what you think,

Pink Bubbly Vaseline costs £3.49 at Boots.

Barry M Gelly Nail Polish

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share my new favourite nail polish with you all. I recently discovered that Barry M have released a new range of hi shine gelly nail paints which are designed to last longer than standard polish and OMG I love them!

My fave is this red shade named 'Blood Orange' how ever i'd say its more red than orange! Anyway, its much thicker than the normal polish but it has about the same drying time. It dries really shiny and it lasts longer than normal polish too.

Who needs costly shellac or gel done at a beauty salon when you can spend £3.99 and have your nails look just as good from home! Bargain!

The removal process is just as simple as normal polish and it comes off pretty easily with nail polish remover!

So what do you think of Barry M gelly nail paint? Try it and let me know!

I'm hooked!

Rainbow Cake

It took a long time to make but it was totally worth it!

Have you made a Rainbow Cake before?

No.7 Silver Glitter polish

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share another nail polish post with you! I purchased this limited edition silver glitter nail polish from Boots No.7 range last week and I love it so, so much!

I used my £5 No.7 voucher that Boots are currently giving out when you spend £5 or more in one transaction in store. I love it when they give these vouchers out as you can get great quality products for such cheap prices!

I used a Maybelline silver nail polish before applying the glitter top coat but it also looks nice over other colours too!

                                                     (Pic with flash!)

The technique I used to apply the glitter was just 'dabbing' it on rather than doing coats as this helped to spread the glitter out better!

The polish costs £8 but with my voucher it was just £3!

I hope you like it! The polish is also available in gold glitter, I think I might just treat myself to that one too, especially as I have another No.7 voucher!

Barry M Peach Melba

Hey there,

Just wanted to quickly share the nail polish I'm currently loving! It's by Barry M and it's called Peach Melba.

It's the perfect summer nail polish which will look great with a tan (either real or fake depending on the
British weather!!).

I used two coats of the polish followed by a coat of clear to keep it shiny and as long lasting as possible!

Have you tried this polish? What colour polishes will you be wearing in the summer time?

P.S Just wanted to share this picture of my yummy cupcake!

I'd love to take credit for making it but sadly I got it from Asda! Good job Asda it was delicious!

Zara Handbag

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share with you my new favourite bag ever! I've had my eye on this beauty for a while now after seeing it on various blogs and seeing as though it was payday I thought i'd treat myself!

I ordered it online as I hadn't seen it in my local Zara store and it came within a few days! I was so excited when the postman came, I almost gave him a hug!

Now this bag is rather large and spacious but the bigger the bag the slimmer it makes you look! Right?! Ha ha.

It comes in 3 different colours, Tan, Black and Cream with red and orange details.

The bag cost £39.99 from Zara and in my eyes it was worth every penny :) It's the perfect summer bag too that's why I chose the Tan colour.

What do you think of my new bag? Have you seen any nice one lately? I'm such a bag lady! You can never have enough!

March Glossybox Harrods edition

Hey everyone,

I recieved my second Glossybox this afternoon and I was very excited as it was a Harrods edition! I ripped open the packaging as I was so desperate to see the goods, and sadly I was dissappointed!

I understand that there are variations of the box and that not everyone gets each product as it is based on your beauty profile when you sign up. But having seen some of the other products on offer in this months Glossybox I am a little gutted at what I recieved!

Heres what I recieved in this months Glossybox Harrods edition:

1. Valentino- Valentina Eau De Parfum 1.5ml

'The exuberant freshness of Calabrian bergamot enhanced with white alba truffle. The irreverence of Amalfi orange blossom touched by wild strawberry. The captivating sensuality of cedar and amber'.

This is a tiny sample of pefume and for some reason it looks only 2/3 full even before i've used it! When I first saw this in the box I thought 'Seriously?' I could go and get this sample at a beauty counter for free!
Regardless of this the perfume does smell lovely! It reminds me of the duty free at the airport... you know when you walk past and it smells of holidays?! Well the booklet says its 'A daring and addictive, oriental, floral fragrance. A true feminine classic, twisted with the pure insolence of Italian ingredients'.

I like this perfume and maybe I would purchase it in the future but at the moment I'm ok for perfumes! The full size version retails from £60+.

2. Molton Brown Vitalising vitamin A,B+C Bath and Shower (gel?!)

'Vitamin rich fruit extracts boost the skin and invigorate the senses'

Again I'm dissappointed with this product I still have some in the bathroom from christmas which I havent used! It smells nice, a little spicy. I wouldn't buy this myself as I prefer fruitier (is that a word?!) bath and shower gels and I wouldnt pay £18 for a full size version (300ml).

It says on the card included that if you show this card at Molton Brown at Harrods you recieve a complimenary hand and arm massage along with a little bag of treats for you to try at home. Sadly I live no where near London so I can't have my free massage and treats :( if you do go though please leave me a comment :)

3. SKII Skin Signature (15ml)

'An anti aging moisturising cream which helps to re-condition the skin, improve its resilience and leave the complexion smooth and radiant'.

I've never heard of this brand before and it's quite a good sized sample. The booklet says to use this cream after cleansing and to pat it on the face to allow it to penetrate quickly into the skin. SKII is exclusively available at Harrods.

This cream is quite thick so only a little is needed at one time. It doesn't really have much of a smell at all which some people will like. It is anti ageing which is good I guess....I mean I am 21 nearly 22 afterall..... haha! I must start thinking about these things.....!!

The full size sample is £127 and for that amount of money I hope I wake up with baby soft and smooth skin!

4. Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara

'Instant full body volume mascara'

This product excites me as I LOVE Lancome mascaras! I just haven't purchased one for myself as of yet because I'm a cheapskate! I have had a few samples in my time and from those I concluded that I LOVE Lancome mascaras! (phew!)

This mascara coats the lash really well and makes the lash look lovely and long! I am pleased with this sample however I could have picked this up at the Lancome counter for free!

The full size version retails at around £21.

5. Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream

'A formula rich in regenerating and firming plant extracts which immediately helps to lift and tone for firmer and a younger looking body'.

Well at 21 this is just what I need... a fimer and younger looking body! hmm... anyway I shall use this on the top backs of my legs to tone up that lovely area... the forumla is quite thick and it does smell lovely. A good sized sample, and thats all I have to say! I will have to give this a few weeks to see if there is any improvement.

A full size version costs £39.50.

6. Shu Uemura Cleansing Beauty Oil

'A 3 in 1 cleanser, make up remover and eye make up remover that leaves skin soft, balanced and non oily'.

I haven't opened this sample yet as I don't want to use it right now because I have a slightly sunburnt face! (how hot was it today?!) This sample is tiny! It looks like a freebie from a magazine! I'm not sure where you can find Shu Uemura other than Harrods?! I'll give this sample a go at some point this week! If you've tried it let me know please! The full size retails at £50+.

Overall I was dissappointed by this box as most of the samples can easily be picked up at counters for free! I think this box has been hit and miss with a lot of people depending on the products you recieved. I would have loved the Lancome juicy tube or Burberry lipstick but I guess thats the luck of the draw. I've not decided if I'll continue with my Glossybox subscription.

Did you recieve the Harrods Glossybox? What products did you get? Also could you recommend any other beauty boxes worth trying?
